The College’s mandate is to protect the public interest by regulating the practice of psychology in Ontario. The College is governed by a Council comprised of seven elected professional members, two to three appointed academic members or the profession, and five to eight public members appointed by the Lieutenant Governor in Council. In addition, there is one elected, non-voting Psychological Associate member. All members of the College Council, whether elected or appointed, represent the public and not the constituency of the district or university from which they were elected or appointed.

Elections to the College Council were held on March 31, 2023. We are pleased to announce the following results:

District 4 (East): Jacob Kaiserman, Psy.D., C.Psych. – Acclaimed

District 7 (Psychological Associates): Glenn Webster, M.Ed., C.Psych.Assoc. – Acclaimed

The term of office for these Council Members begins on June 16, 2023 and continues until the first Council meeting following the elections in 2026.

We wish to extend our congratulations to the successful candidates.

To introduce these members of Council, we are providing the Biographical and Candidate Statements as
they were submitted to the College as part of the election process.

Jacob Kaiserman, District 4 (East)

I am a Clinical Psychologist working in private practice and am licensed to work with adults, adolescents, children and couples. Prior to moving to Ottawa, I received my Psy.D. in Clinical 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏÍø from The Chicago School of Professional 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏÍø in Chicago, Illinois. I have worked for the past 10 years as a supervisor for Ph.D. students at the University of Ottawa’s Centre for Psychological Services and Research (CPSR). I am currently teaching « Ethics and Professional Practice » in the University of Ottawa’s Clinical 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏÍø Ph.D. program.

While teaching the Ethics and Professional Practice course, I realized that I had a strong interest in not only teaching about our professional and ethical responsibilities to the next generation of Psychologists, but also in helping uphold those responsibilities. I joined the College’s Investigations, Complaints and Reports Committee (ICRC) in 2022 and found the experience to be rewarding. If elected to Council, I hope to further my understanding of the responsibility we have to behave ethically and responsibility and to project a strong positive impression of our profession to the public.

Thank you for your consideration,

Jacob Kaiserman, Psy.D., C.Psych.

Glenn G.
