Fourth Quarter, March 1, 2025 \u2013 May 31, 2025<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

ICRC Meetings<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The ICRC met three times to consider a total of 29 cases. In addition, the ICRC held 15 teleconferences to consider 23 cases. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

New Complaints and Reports<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

In the 4th<\/sup> Quarter, the College received 48 new complaints related to the psychology profession and one complaint related to the ABA profession.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The nature of service related to the ABA complaint is Administration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are currently 201 open ABA and psychology complaints being actively investigated.<\/p>\n\n\n

ICRC Dispositions<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The ICRC disposed of seven ABA case in this quarter, providing Advice in four matters, taking no further action in two matters, and deciding not to investigate the last matter, after considering it to be F&V.\u2020<\/sup> The nature of service for all these matters was Not Related to Professional Services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ICRC disposed of 33 psychology cases during the 4th<\/sup> Quarter, as illustrated below.<\/p>\n\n\n

*F&V: Frivolous, vexatious, made in bad faith, moot or otherwise an abuse of process, pursuant to s.26(4) of the Health Professions Procedural Code.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Disposition of Allegations<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The 33 psychology cases disposed of included the consideration of 103 allegations. The ICRC took some action with respect to 41, or 40%, of these allegations.<\/p>\n\n\n

Health Professions Appeal and Review Board (HPARB)<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

In the 4th<\/sup> Quarter, four HPARB reviews of ICRC decisions were requested. The College received five HPARB decisions. In three of its decisions, the Board confirmed the ICRC decisions. The Board dismissed one review request as frivolous and vexatious, and decided not to proceed with a review an additional matter.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
