{"id":21458,"date":"2026-04-23T10:52:00","date_gmt":"2026-04-23T14:52:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cpbao.ca\/?p=21458"},"modified":"2026-04-27T09:03:33","modified_gmt":"2026-04-27T13:03:33","slug":"latest-updates","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cpbao.ca\/fr\/latest-updates\/","title":{"rendered":"Latest updates"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-link-color has-medium-font-size wp-elements-462717eea07ff0e171583106f9e2f042\" style=\"color:#1e22aa\"><strong>Proposed Changes to Registration Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On December 12, 2025, CPBAO\u2019s Board approved the following changes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Registration as a psychologist based on a graduate degree from Council-approved programs, including accreditation by College-approved accrediting bodies<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Council approval of accrediting bodies internationally, beyond the United States<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The removal of the minimum four-year work experience requirement for candidates with a Master\u2019s degree, replacing it with a one-year minimum<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>These proposed changes were submitted to the Ministry of Health for consideration, and we are awaiting a decision. We will continue to share updates as they become available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-link-color has-medium-font-size wp-elements-854004f7de1794dad099493abd6fbb89\" style=\"color:#1e22aa\"><strong><strong>Board Updates<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Vice-Chair Election<br><\/em><\/strong>At the March 26 Special Meeting, the Board held an election for Vice-Chair. Congratulations to Scott Warnock on his election! Mr. Warnock will serve in this role until the annual Executive Committee election in June. We look forward to his continued contributions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>New: Updates to the QA Program<\/em><\/strong><br>At the March 27 meeting, the Board approved updates to CPBAO\u2019s Quality Assurance (QA) Program.
