{"id":21472,"date":"2026-04-23T10:45:26","date_gmt":"2026-04-23T14:45:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cpbao.ca\/?p=21472"},"modified":"2026-04-27T09:02:59","modified_gmt":"2026-04-27T13:02:59","slug":"reminder-aba-transitional-routes-closing-june-30-2026","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cpbao.ca\/fr\/reminder-aba-transitional-routes-closing-june-30-2026\/","title":{"rendered":"Reminder: ABA Transitional Routes Closing June 30, 2026"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Transitional Routes 1 and 2 for Behaviour Analyst registration will close at <strong>11:59 p.m. on June 30, 2026<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Through the transitional routes, CPBAO has registered to date: <strong>1943 Autonomous Practice Behaviour Analysts<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Individuals planning to apply are encouraged to <a href=\"https:\/\/cpbao.ca\/aba\/aba-information-and-updates\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">review the registration requirements and available pathways on our website<\/a> to ensure they meet the criteria and submit their application by the deadline.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>For BCBA or BCBA-D Applicants<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Individuals planning to pursue BCBA or BCBA-D certification and apply through Transitional Route 1 should be aware that BCBA certification applications for Ontario residents are expected to close shortly. Applicants are encouraged to confirm certification timelines directly with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bacb.com\/bcba\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">the BCBA<\/a> and ensure they can complete both BCBA certification and CPBAO application requirements <strong>by June 30, 2026<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>After the Deadline<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After June 30, 2026, applicants will still be able to complete CPBAO\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/cpbao.ca\/cpo_resources\/behaviour-analyst-section-e-jurisprudence-and-ethics-course-and-assessment-in-applied-behaviour-analysis\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Jurisprudence and Ethics Course and the Assessment in Applied Behaviour Analysis (JECAABA)<\/a> under both routes. Transitional Route 2 applicants may also complete the <a href=\"https:\/\/cpbao.ca\/cpo_resources\/behaviour-analyst-section-f-ontario-examination-for-professional-practice-in-aba\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Ontario Examination for Professional Practice in Applied Behaviour Analysis (OEPPABA)<\/a> after the deadline.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Applicants who do not meet the requirements or do not apply by the deadline will be required to apply through the <a href=\"https:\/\/cpbao.ca\/aba\/how-to-apply-aba\/behaviour-analyst-supervised-practice-entry-level-route\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Entry Level Route (Supervised Practice)<\/a> or the Labour Mobility Route, which comes into effect on <strong>July 1, 2026<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Full details on registration requirements and application pathways are available on our <a href=\"https:\/\/cpbao.ca\/aba\/aba-information-and-updates\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ABA page<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you have any questions, please contact the ABA Registration team at <a href=\"mailto:aba@cpbao.ca\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">aba@cpbao.ca<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Transitional Routes 1 and 2 for Behaviour Analyst registration will close at 11:59 p.m. on June 30, 2026.
