Ms. Christine DiZazzo, (District 7, Psychological Associate) and Dr. Patricia Minnes (District 8, Academic) have left Council after many years of service. We gratefully acknowledge their involvement and contributions. We are pleased to welcome new Council members, Ms. Paula Conforti and Dr. Adrienne Perry representing District 7 and District 8, respectively and returning Council member Dr. Marilyn Keyes (District 4 East). In addition, we are pleased to be joined by three new public members recently appointed by the Lieutenant Governor in Council Mr. Paul Stopciati, Ms. Nancy Tkachuk and Ms. Jessy Zita.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As a first order of business, the Council elected the Executive Committee for the 2020 \u2013 2021 year. We are&nbsp;pleased to congratulate:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dr. Michael Grand &#8211; President<br>Dr. Denise Milovan &#8211; Vice-President<br>Ms. Paula Conforti &#8211; Professional Member<br>Dr. Wanda Towers &#8211; Professional Member<br>Mr. Graeme Goebelle &#8211; Public Member<br>Mr. Paul Stopciati- Public Member<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>POLICY ISSUES<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Council approved revisions to the following policies:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><em>Policy II-5(ii) Peer Assisted Review: Criteria for Exemption&nbsp;or Deferral<\/em><\/li><li><em>Policy II-4(ii) Discipline Committee: Rules of Procedure<\/em><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A copy of the Briefing Notes and draft policies reviewed by the Council in considering these amendments may be found in the&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/cdn.ymaws.com\/www.asppb.net\/resource\/resmgr\/guidelines\/asppb_guidelines_for_closing.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">Council Materials<\/a>&nbsp;in the Resources section of the website.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>BUSINESS ISSUES<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h6 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Committee Audit<\/strong><\/h6>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As part of the College\u2019s continuous review and improvement of its processes, the Discipline Committee was selected to be audited in 2020 \u2013 2021 year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>OTHER BUSINESS<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The next meeting of Council will be held on September 25, 2020.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Since the March meeting there have been a number of changes to the College Council.
